I see you. The Golden Cage is one of the most painful traps because it works. By every external measure, your career is the answer; by the only measure that matters to you, it has quietly become the question.
I have been working with women in this exact pattern for over thirty years. The thing I have learned, that the cage is built to keep you from learning, is this: you did not betray the version of you who built the career. The career was the apprenticeship. It was teaching you how to be excellent inside a structure you did not design. The next chapter is the chapter where you build the structure yourself.
The voice in your head that says "I cannot leave" is not your voice. It is the voice the cage installed to keep you in it. It was put there years ago by people who needed you to stay where you were. It does not know you any more.
Here is what I want you to hear, and I want you to hear it as a permission, not as advice. You are allowed to leave a career that worked. You do not have to be ungrateful to be ready. Wanting more is not greed. It is the next instruction.
The work I do, the work I have done with thousands of women in your exact shape, is the work of opening the cage from the inside. It is the work of training you to do this work for other women, at premium rates, on your own terms, for the rest of your life.
You are enough. You are already enough.
